The Spirit of Fire Awards 2015
The Spirit of Fire Awards 2015 is the most prestigious event in the fire and rescue calendar, recognising bravery within the fire community and dedication to The Fire Fighters Charity.
It is set to be a star-studded night with a range of celebrities attending to present the awards, a delicious dinner and some fantastic evening entertainment! It will truly be a night to remember.
The Charity came into being back in the dark days of the Blitz, so what better way to celebrate the upcoming 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two, and the tenth anniversary of Spirit of Fire than by stepping back in time to 1940s London. The dress code is, as always, black tie and posh frocks, or fire service uniform – no 1940s fancy dress is required.
Some of the most prestigious awards presented on the night include:
Youth of Courage award – Awarded to a young person under the age of 18 who has shown remarkable bravery when confronted with a fire and rescue situation, or who has shown great courage in the face of personal adversity.
Fire Service of the Year award – Awarded to the Fire and Rescue Service that has demonstrated a sustained effort in fundraising and volunteering for The Fire Fighters Charity over the course of the last 12 months to achieve an outstanding income per head.
Firefighter of the Year award – Awarded to a serving member of the fire and rescue service who has gone beyond the call of duty.
Lifetime Achievement award – Awarded to an exceptional individual or unsung hero who has committed over 30 years to supporting The Fire Fighters Charity and has undertaken outstanding dedication by way of fundraising and volunteering.

“It was a most enjoyable evening. It was my first time and I was unsure what to expect. I will definitely be going again.”
