Man rescued from ‘deliberate’ fire in Lisnaskea

A man has been rescued by firefighters from a “deliberate” fire at a house in Lisnaskea.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) says it received a call just before midnight of a fire at a two storey detached house at the Killygullan Drive area of the town.

Two fire appliances from Lisnaskea Fire Station and one from Enniskillen Fire Station were deployed to the scene. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a covering jet and hose-reel jets dealt with the incident.

A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said: “One man was rescued by firefighters from the premises. The man was treated by colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire is being treated as deliberate.”
