Firefighter jobs in Hull as Humberside Fire and Rescue Service advertises for new recruits
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting for new full-time firefighters.
It is advertising 20 positions, with successful new recruits due to start their training in September 2017.
Applicants are being invited to a series of taster sessions over the next two months. People who attend with get a chance to meet firefighters, learn more about the job and take part in daily activities.
An open session will be held at Clough Road Fire Station, Hull, on Saturday February 18, from 10am to 4pm. A second open session will be held in Grimsby, at the Peaks Lane Fire Station, on Saturday March 4 (10am-4pm).
Chief Fire Officer Dene Sanders said he was delighted to be recruiting again. He said: “Last year we opened full-time recruitment for the first time in nearly ten years.
“The response was outstanding and we look forward to another competitive process which will deliver another 20 outstanding recruits to help shape the future of our ever-evolving service.”
