Fire crews were called in after this cow became stuck in a ditch
Emergency services were called in this morning (May 18) after a cow was found trapped in a ditch near Crowborough.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service called in their animal rescue unit from Crowborough to help lift the 9-year-old cow out of the ditch at Castle Hill Farm.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told Kent Live: “East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called at 8.21am on Thursday, May 18, to Castle Hill Farm in Treblers Road to reports that a cow had been found trapped in a ditch.
“We dispatched our animal rescue unit from Crowborough and waited for a vet to arrive before lifting the cow out.
“The cow was successfully removed from the ditch and our crew left the scene at 10.22am.”
The fire service was unable to confirm whether the cow was injured as a result of the incident, but said the cow had been released again.
