Gregory Boulevard through Hyson Green was closed at around 12 noon by Nottinghamshire Police to allow a rescue operation to be carried out.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were called out to a man stuck on a roof.

Two fire crews from London Road station deployed an aerial ladder platform to rescue the stricken man, just after noon today (Wednesday, March 15).

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “Police were called to an incident on Gregory Boulevard at around 12 noon today. Officers were concerned for the safety of a man on a roof.
