Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service will clean your cars for you this March

It’s one of those jobs which many of us simply cannot be bothered to do – washing the car.

You know it’s really dirty and you know it’s been a while since you last did it, but it’s March and it’s still cold and the last thing you want to be doing is standing outside with even colder water splashing you.

Thankfully there are those who have the right tools for the job and are more than able to use them – Somerset Firefighters. Throughout March you can bring your car along and have it washed in return for a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity, the UK’s leading provider of services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.

Lee Howell, chief fire officer for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Monies raised through national fundraising initiatives provide a real boost to The Fire Fighters Charity. As well as being a fun and popular event the National Car Wash also gives our firefighters the opportunity to share important safety messages with members of their local community.

“Your valued donations will go towards helping thousands of men, women and children from the fire and rescue community during their times of need.”
