A burning pan of oil sparked a fire service call out in Folkestone
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a home in Folkestone Wednesday evening after a pan of oil caught fire.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service arrived at St Michael’s Road at 11pm to discover the fire had been extinguished.
Crews stayed while a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the interior.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check in case the fire had spread throughout the location.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the blaze had caused approximately 10% damage to the cooker.
Crews later installed three fire alarms in the property when it transpired that none had previously existed.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
